Blogging Blues and a Logo Breakthrough - day 6

Day 6: The Blogging Blues and a Logo Breakthrough

Hi I'm checking in from day 6 of my 1000-day blogging hell/heaven!

Remember that initial excitement I had about setting everything up? Yeah, it's definitely hit a few bumps in the road.
Picking a name for this blog has turned into a way bigger deal than I thought. It's like trying to name a firstborn child, except with less pressure (hopefully!). I'm stuck between three options:
 * blogginglen.site: Sounds classic and covers all bases, but maybe a bit boring?
 * bloemhof.online: This one's more unique and personal, but will people get it?
 * inplane.site: My existing company domain, keeps things connected, but not sure it fits the blog vibe.

Ugh, analysis paralysis is real! Any advice from the peanut gallery?
On a brighter note, designing the logo was a breeze! I actually came up with something I'm super proud of, which feels like a small win in this whole process. I'll share it next time, so stay tuned! Or maybe now..

Speaking of wins, monetization is turning out to be a whole different story.
Google AdSense
Well they seemed like a good obvious starting point, but apparently getting approved in South Africa is like climbing Mount Kilimanjaro blindfolded.
Strict guidelines and all that jazz. Not giving up though! I'm exploring other options and figuring out what works best for me. It's a learning curve for sure, but hey, that's what this journey is all about, right?
Look, I know the road to blogging success isn't paved with sunshine and rainbows. There will be roadblocks, detours, and moments where I want to tear my hair out. But hey, every step forward counts, even if it's just figuring out domain names and AdSense. Today it's these things, tomorrow who knows? The important thing is to keep moving.
So, I'll keep you posted on the domain name drama and how the monetization quest unfolds. And if you're also on this blogging journey, hit me up! Share your early-day struggles and how you conquered them. Maybe we can learn from each other.
Talk soon,
L
